Back in May I was doing my typical thing of watching Astrophotography YouTube channels and I saw one from Bray Falls, a YouTuber I have followed for a while. He announced a new remote observatory targeted to the amateur astronomer. As I had looked at remote observatories I saw the value in what Bray was planning and immediately signed my deposit. Mid June I get the word its time to send my scope but since the observatory was just our side of Brady Tx and that was 3.5 hours from my house the girls and I decided to take a trip out there to drop it off. While we were there we saw another YouTube astro-superstars, Galactic Hunters.
Once it was setup I got access to it and started getting it imaging in beautiful Bortle 1 skies. The other thing that is unique about Starfront is the discord community of fellow astrophotographers. I have learned a lot from the community and its almost better than a star party cause you don't have to have that awkward silence in conversations. The skies are amazing, and I have learned a lot about collection and processing and I really think it has boosted my game.
These are my first images from Starfront... so happy with the results.
