Description

The Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA) is a fast imaging only scope with an F2 focal ratio. My RASA is the smallest model Celestron produces the 8 inch, however there are also 11" and 14" models.

F2 imaging allows you to capture more light in a shorter period of time and is great for larger nebula and can be used with both One Shot Color (OSC) and Mono cameras. The sacrifice for having that fast Focal Ratio is focal length which equates to less magnification. So objects such as smaller nebula, planets and most galaxies are too small in the image for any real resolution.

This scope is larger in size but not that heavy. I typically mount this on the Rainbow Astro RST135e mount and use either a ASI1600MM mono camera and filters or the ASI294MC one shot color camera.
